ADOPTION PROCESS AND POLICIES
At Massimini Whiskers, we take pride in finding the best homes for our Ragdoll kittens. To ensure our kittens are matched with loving, responsible families, we follow a comprehensive adoption process that also includes important care policies.
STEP 1: AWAITING RAGDOLL AVAILABILITY
We no longer maintain a waitlist. After litter evaluation, we will post available kittens on our website and Instagram. If you are interested in adopting a kitten from us, please monitor our pages frequently as our kittens are often reserved quickly!
STEP 2: PRE-ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE
Before we proceed with any virtual meetings, photo, or video exchanges, all potential adopters must complete a pre-adoption questionnaire. This helps us understand your family’s lifestyle, experience with pets, and what you're looking for in a kitten.

Note: Submission of the form does not guarantee approval. We review all inquiries carefully and reserve the right to approve or deny applications based on the best interest of our kittens.
STEP 3: RESERVATION
Once your application is approved, our Adoption Contract will be emailed to you. The contract must be signed and returned before your kitten is officially reserved. A non-refundable and non-transferable 50% deposit is required to solidify the reservation of your kitten. This deposit will be deducted from the total adoption price of your kitten.
Ragdolls are extremely social and do better in pairs. We offer a $200 discount when adopting two kittens at the same time or returning to adopt a second Ragdoll kitten.
STEP 4: PAY REMAINING BALANCE
The remaining balance for your Ragdoll kitten is due 8 days before your scheduled pickup/delivery date. This helps ensure there are no issues with payment prior to travel plans. Any money paid towards a kitten is non-refundable.
STEP 5: SCHEDULE THE PICKUP OR DELIVERY OF YOUR RAGDOLL KITTEN
- Flight Nanny Delivery + Ground Transportation: We offer personalized delivery to ensure that your kitten travels safely and comfortably. Please inquire for pricing and availability if local pickup does not fit your schedule. We can also meet at any airport in Louisiana or Houston TX for an additional charge.
-Local Louisiana Pickup: We have several locations central to Prairieville, Louisiana and Walker, Louisiana that are free of charge for pickup. Please let us know what is best for you and we will do everything to help accommodate.
STEP 6: WELCOME HOME
Kittens are ready to go to their new homes at 13-15 weeks of age.
Each kitten comes with:
- Age-appropriate FVRCP Vaccinations and Dewormings
- Microchip Registration
- Spaying or Neutering (if applicable)
- 2-Year Genetic Health Guarantee and a 1-Year Congenital Health Guarantee
- Kitten Starter Package
- Aftercare and Ongoing Support
- TICA Registration Paperwork
- 30 Days of Free Trupanion Pet Insurance (activation required within 24 hours of bringing your kitten home)
- Veterinarian Exam
- Health Record
